More Lovely Links…

June 12, 2009

Looking for inspiration? Here’s some…

Butter flying – I have no idea what this blog is saying…. but it’s full of glorious photos of amazing paper creations. Totally inspirational

The Blah Blah Blahg – home to Souvineer Photo School in case you need some quirky inspiration for your holiday snaps or this would work for project 365 photos too. Lots of other loveliness on this blog too.

And while we are talking about photography…. Smashing Magazines 50 Incredible Photography Techniques and Tutorials is full of good stuff.

This cute tiny tin message board featured at Design Sponge would look great using printed digi scrap papers and elements!

Another project that would look cool made from digi scrap goodies is Anne Woode’s Cardboard Stampede. I think I need a wall covered with running horses!

Now….go forth and create!

Oldies but Goodies…

April 1, 2009

I seem to save a lot of links and ideas for nifty, crafty, photography, digi scrapping kind of ideas. Today I had a spare moment and decided to go have a look through all my bookmarks and saved stuff. Some of these links are rather old but still pretty ace… so I thought I’d share!

101 Photoshop short cuts via Photojojo

Cool Maze Book instructions at Folding Trees – would make an awesome printable project with some digi scrap papers.

Free pdf template for a printable self mailing note card from Evie S

Another free template from Evie S, this one for a paper CD case

Sew a Slip cover for your camera strap – a tutorial from Made by Petchy

Make a cool photo collage from Moo Cards from JPG Mag

This idea for hanging dot decorations from Martha Stewart would look great made from matching digi scrap papers.

Lisa Rupp – Gorgeous Free Calendars!

February 26, 2009

I was just browsing my bloglines this afternoon when I came across a link to Lisa Rupp Designs Blog. (thanks to the wonderful Twig and Thistle Blog.)

Apart from the gorgeous design work on Lisa’s blog she is also giving away free printable calendars featuring her designs… a page each month. They are just gorgeous, so if you haven’t sorted out your calendar thing yet (like me) then head on over and print out March’s page.

You can see more of Lisa’s work at her web site.

Quick Photo Inspiration!

October 3, 2008

Browsing through some blogs today and I cam across some great photos of a little girl and a little mirror! Such a simple idea that has such great results! I am so stealing this idea and taking some photos of my kids with a mirror!

I spent a bit of time browsing around Corey’s blog, Living and Loving Every Minute of It and ooh there are lots of gorgeous photos there! Go and check it out for lots of photography inspiration!

Calendar Madness!

October 1, 2008

So I am in the midst of trying to design my calendars for this year… I always make a few as Christmas presents and this year I will offer a few custom slots for those who’d like to have their own personalised calendars to give as gifts or keep themselves (check back in a week or two for more info on ordering a custom designed calendar. This year I have decided to give CD case calendars a go…. but oh there is lots of great calendar goodness out there tempting me to do something different!

This calendar by jessgonacha at Etsy is just delicious… the colours are gorgeous and I love the way she has this mini version hanging on the wall.

This calendar wallpaper by Christiaan Postma is just way cool…. not sure where you’d put it, but still really ace!

Now this you just have to have… a bubble wrap calendar… imagine all bubble popping fun. Though I am pretty sure we’d not be able to restrain ourselves to the current day in this house and the whole year would be popped before the end of the first week!

So much calendar goodness and it’s not even the end of the year yet!

Upload your Photos to Everywhere, all at once!

September 29, 2008

I found out about this cool application while browsing Photojojo (you find lots of cool stuff at their blog!)…

Pixelpipe
– a free application that lets you upload your photos to all kinds of different sites at once! So if you’d like to upload photos to flickr, facebook, your blog, picasa or a heap of other options you can use this handy little application to choose where you want your image to go, add tags and descriptions etc then upload it…. just the once and pixelpipe will do the rest!

For someone like me who has snail’s pace internet this could be VERY cool! I am off to have a play!
